After a topsy, turvy Thursday, what will be in store for us on Sunday? I expect more sanity, but of course anything can happen. That's the joy of the game!
Here are my previews for Sunday's big games:
Wisconsin @ Indiana
After a draw against Purdue, Indiana has their back against the wall. They must run the table from here to make the Big 10 Tournament. Wisconsin won another street brawl. Not much soccer going on, but they keep chugging along. I like Indiana in this game at home 2-1.
Iowa @ Rutgers
This might be one of the better games of the season. Both of these teams are surprising to the upside. They both have the quality to justify current positions. I expect a draw in this one 1-1
Ohio State @ Purdue
After being mugged by Minnesota, Ohio State looks to rebound. They have to be ready for a quality Purdue squad that will play the game the way it should be played. If so, Ohio State has the better of it with higher quality and a deeper bench. They win this one 2-0.
Nebraska @ Maryland
Nebraska gets to beat-up the doormat. 3-0. Nothing more to say...
Minnesota @ Penn State
Minnesota won't surprise Penn State with their thuggery. Penn State dominates this game and wins 2-0.
UCLA @ Illinois.
Illinois is going to give UCLA a game. I look for a draw in a big surprise for the best team in the conference 1-1.
USC @ Northwestern
Northwestern is good enough to beat USC. USC keeps rolling here in a tough fight 1-0.
Michigan @ Oregon
After an impressive draw against Michigan State, Oregon gets the win against a weak Michigan squad 1-0
Michigan State @ Washington
Expect State to come out swinging. Washington is better than its RPI. This could be and will be another draw for Michigan State 1-1.
I will have updated rankings after this weekend's action. It's going to be an interesting tally for sure...
